-
- 1. CD Key
- You will have to type in the CD Key when you first start the game.
-
- 1.1 Key settings:
-
- RpG Hud is ô#ö not ô\ö
- Aufstehen ist ôYö not ôZö (German only)
-
- 1.2 Scores
-
- The systematic of the scores (tab key) is as follows:
-
- Kills / times you have been killed - RPG skill point levels of
- the respective character in the order of the RPG Hud (Strength,
- Stamina, Stealth, Awareness, Marksmanship, Breath control)
-
- 1.3 Multiplayer Server Tags
-
- When listing available servers hosting internet games, you will
- see various letters at the end of each line of server
- information indicating the type of game being played.
-
- 1) A arcade, R realistic, C custom, F friendly fire, T id tags,
- S iron sights, + free camera
-
- 1.4 BOTS & Artificial intelligence
-
- Team Factor single player runs exactly like the multi-player
- mode, with the computer simulating the human input and
- instructions throughout a round. This means the artificial
- intelligence aspect of each BOT is the most taxing on the CPU
- of the PC. Those with P3 CPUÆs should not attempt to run more
- than 2-3 BOTS per team, (see minimum tech spec on the back of
- the box). As such the following should only be attempted by
- those with a high spec PC, a medium Spec P4 or 1.4/1.7 Athlon
- processor (or equivalent). Plenty of memory is also
- recommended, ideally 512 MB RAM or more.
-
- In the main Team Factor directory (usually c:/program
- files/7fx/team factor/)
- open the particular config file in subdirectory /bot :
- rookie.cfg, average.cfg, veteran.cfg (depending on the setting
- you want to use in game)
-
- look for line next from bottom:
-
- COLLISION_ENABLED 0
-
- change the value to:
-
- COLLISION_ENABLED 1
-
- [Running the minimum spec PC in multiplayer/internet games with
- no BOTS will make no difference to playability performance
- against a higher spec PC.]
-
- 1.5 Memory
-
- When running Team Factor with low memory (128MB RAM), please
- switch off any background programmes if possible to maximise
- the memory available.
-
- 2. Breath control
-
- After running, the player is breathing heavily and the weapon
- is naturally unstable (itÆs added instability to the natural
- one compensated by the Marksmanship skill. (The Marksmanship
- skill does not affect the breath!). Pressing the Breath Control
- "hold" button, causes you to hold your breath for a moment. The
- better the skill is, the longer you can hold your breath.
-
- Key for breath control is the left Alt key.
-
- 3. Skill points
-
- The RPG system works on the principle of distributing skill-
- points to six different skill categories according to the
- players in-game performance. (RPG system is only used in
- Realistic game mode)
-
- Strength - Skill points are credited for carrying load (weight
- per time).
-
- Stamina (endurance) - Skill points are credited for using ôrunö
- mode movement (total time per mission round).
-
- Stealth - Skill points are credited for using ôwalkö mode
- movement (total time per mission round).
-
- Awareness (enemy detection) - Skill points are credited for
- standing still (total time per mission round).
-
- Marksmanship -. Skill points are credited for using the ôiron
- sightö and ôoptical scopeö mode of aiming.
-
- Breath control - Skill points are credited for using ôbreath
- controlö function.
